In times of distress, there will always be heroes to free their people
Heroes appear a lot, such as in literature and in the world. When people are held captive, a savior appears. When a people are lost, a guide appears. But when people are scared and distraught, a leader appears.
There will always be a savior for every captive. In the book of Exodus, the Israelites are held as slaves in Egypt. They were spending centuries there as slaves, treated horribly, and were greatly oppressed. They were losing faith. But a savior appeared to them, Moses. Chosen by God, he and the Lord's might broke Pharaoh down day by day. Eventually gaining the freedom his people desperately wanted. Moses, being an Egyptian (kinda) found it amazingly difficult to see the plagues that swarmed his land, but persevered, because he loved his people. He went through personal trials, he felt distress for the Egyptians, but he needed to free his people. As you can see, there will always be a savior for a captured people, even when it means the savior suffering through things as well.
When people are lost, a guide appears to them to take them to safety. In Handbook for Boys by Walter Dean Myers, Jimmy is lost. In school, he has low grades, frequently gets into fights, and wants to drop out. He was about to be sent to a juvenile center, until Duke Wilson, takes him in as a mentor. He educates him, teaches him to think and make the right decisions. He leads him when all the world wanted to do was lock him up, he was Jimmy's guide. He changed him, and made hime want to go to school. He made Jimmy tell everyone else that the path he once took wasn't the right one. He completely changed him for the better. As you can see, there will always be a guide to lead the lost to safety.
When people are scared, confused, and distraught, new leader is needed. One who has the courage a people lack. One who isn't afraid to fail, and only wants the best. Some one like Thomas. He came into a world where people were confused, and most of all scared. They were confused because they didn't know why they were held captive, scared because didn't know what the future held for them. Then came Thomas, one who wasn't afraid to ask questions and seek answers. One who wasn't afraid to be put in the danger of death to free his people. In The Maze Runner, Thomas knows he can free the Gladers, but he didn't have their trust. He went through tough tribulations to win it. He won his role as leader, and freed the Gladers from the Maze they have been held in for many years. It is in these times where the strongest leaders appear, and where there are scared people, there will always arrive a leader.
Heroes have a lot to say in history. They change it, whether its for what's seen as good, and even bad. They're still trying only to create a positive change. For that reason, heroes will always exist, because there will always exist a scared group, who needs a leader to help them.
